Gutter and Spout Cleaning

Over-full gutters can cause water damage and shorten the lifespan of your gutters. In addition to removing all organic debris from your gutters and downpipes, we clean and flush downpipes to ensure no blockages and do a complete and thorough inspection of your rainwater system to reduce the chance of flooding. Our team will also provide you with before and after photos of all gutters so you can see the difference.

House Washing - Soft Washing

We specialise in low-pressure exterior house cleaning and washing. This includes all types of cladding, regardless of size. Unlike water blasting, our soft house wash gently cleans and removes dirt and mould to ensure your home shines without the risk of water damage or ingress.

Roof Wash – Moss & Mould Treatment

Our roof treatment lasts up to 18 months and extends the life of your paint by removing moss, mould and lichen. During treatment, we will take photos of contamination. We can also provide a maintenance spraying service, treating your roof every 12 months to kill moss and mould spores before they're even visible.

Driveway and Concrete Cleaning

We offer professional driveway and concrete path cleaning solutions, with both soft wash and pressure washing options available. We will also apply a treatment to stop the return of slippery algae for up to 18 months.

Deck & Fence Cleaning

Outdoor wooden surfaces are particularly vulnerable to build-up of dirt, stains, and algae. We will treat your timber deck or fence with a proprietary soap mix that kills all organic growth, followed by a thorough rinse and wood treatment, to help make your deck or fence look like new.

Window Cleaning & Washing

We use pure water cleaning to get your windows sparkling clean. Once the job is done, you can rest assured there will be no water spots, and no harsh chemicals used, meaning the only run-off is 100% pure water.

Pre-Paint Wash

With our pre-paint house washing service, we will clean your exterior walls to remove contaminants and old paint, so that you can start your paint job well prepared. We clean all types of roofing material including long run iron, concrete tiles, press metal tiles, slate tile and asphalt shingle roofs.

Pest & Insect Control

As well as handling insect and pest infestation jobs, we also offer ongoing pest control programs to prevent re-infestation. Our qualified technicians provide treatment for a full range of pests and insects, including: spiders, wasps, silverfish, ants, bees, flies, fleas, carpet beetles, cockroaches, and moths. • Do your soaps remove green algae?

  Yes, our soaps are designed to remove all moss, mould and algae from your house and prevent it from coming back.
• Do I need to be at home during the service?

  No, many of our clients choose not to be at home during the service., We just ask that all windows are closed and any outdoor items prone to water damage are brought inside.
• Can you wash multi-level houses and commercial buildings?

  Yes, Wash Rite are able to wash multi-level homes and commercial buildings.
• Who handles Health and Safety administration for a commercial building wash?

  For a commercial building wash, Wash Rite will provide a JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and copies of our Health and Safety policy and manual, as well as any supporting documents. We can help take the hassle off you.
• Can you clean large commercial concrete areas, such as car parks or warehouse floors?

  Yes, we clean large outdoor areas efficiently and to a high quality. Wash Rite’s equipment is designed to be efficient and leave your concrete looking as good as new.
• Will these services damage my concrete or cobblestone?

  No, this method is safe for hard surfaces.
• I am worried about dirty water runoff into the stormwater, how do you prevent this?

  Wash Rite takes its environmental obligations very seriously. We have multiple options available, including runoff filter socks that filters the water before it reaches the gutter, and we can even suck up the runoff and filter it through a reclaim unit.
• I am on tank water, is this safe to use on my roof?

  Yes, but it's very important that you disconnect your water tank and leave it disconnected for four good rainfalls of at least 40ml per rainfall to flush your gutters and pipes out before reconnecting and harvesting rainwater. A full roof wash may be a better option for you if you have tank water. *Please ensure you disconnect the water tank before the Wash Rite franchise arrives.
• Is the roof treatment safe on all roofing materials?

  Yes, our product is designed and manufactured to be applied to all roofing materials.
• How do I know if the roof treatment is working?

  The moss, mould and lichen will change colour and turn either a white or pale-yellow colour. This shows it has died and over the coming weeks it will break down.
• Does Wash Rite guarantee the product will work?

  Yes, we guarantee all our services across New Zealand.
• Do you flush out my gutters after you have removed all debris from the gutters?

  Yes, we will always flush the gutters to ensure there are no blockages.
• Do you remove debris removed from the gutters?

  We remove gutter debris offsite, unless a compost bin is available or it is requested otherwise.
• How often should we have our gutters cleaned by Wash Rite?

  We recommend a minimum of once per year, or twice per year if you have lots of trees in your garden.
• Can Wash Rite book me in for an automatic annual visit to clean and flush our gutters?

  Yes, this is a standard service we offer our clients, which we recommend requesting upon booking.
• Does Wash Rite recommend installing a gutter guard system on the house?

  If you have a lot of trees around your house that drop their leaves, we do recommend installing gutter foam or Flowmate. Wash Rite can supply and install this product for you. More information on Gutter Foam can be found at www.gutterfoam.co.nz or www.flowmate.com.au
• Does the deck and fence clean damage timber?

  No, we use soaps specifically designed to not damage timber fibres.
• Can I paint or stain the deck or fence after you have cleaned it?

  Yes, but you will need to allow 3 to 5 days for the timber to dry before painting or staining.
• What assurances do I have that Wash Rite will do a great job?

  Wash Rite is New Zealand's largest exterior cleaning company. We are locally owned by local franchise partners that have the backing of a national brand.
• I have a Kwila timber deck, other companies refused to clean this. Can Wash Rite clean this type of timber deck?

  Yes, Wash Rite are experts in all timber deck and fences.
• Is there a recommended time of year to clean my deck or fence?

  You can clean your deck or fence any time of the year. From our experience, late winter or early spring is a great time, so you can get your deck or fence looking great over summer when we all love spending more time outside and entertaining guests.
• Will the treatment leave a stain on my windows?

  No, the products Wash Rite use do not stain windows.
• How often should we get our house sprayed?

  Wash Rite recommends spraying every 12 months, or every 6 months if you live rurally.
• Does Wash Rite have insurance for this type of work?

  Yes, all Wash Rite franchisees hold insurance and are happy to provide insurance certificates upon request.
